Ever considered doing some writing based off of you life? That was so deep stuff man. I really hope things turn out for the better for you, you seem like a really good person, just with a lot of bad luck unfortunately :/ But keep your head up man, that story was pretty inspiring. Best of luck to you bro.

things happen its all life lol and things are turning out fine

Wow dude, that's deep. Very nice.

TrojanMan87 responds:

Thank you :)

Most of this is wayyy underrated. This shit is amazing! Although it'd be cool to add a little bit of color to the illustrations and keep the photo black and white. It's just a suggestion, I personally think that'd be wicked cool! Other than that these are awesome! Again way underrated.

YannuNG responds:

Thanks for the support ! For the colours ,, I'm thinking about it for the next time . And I should draw more boobs . You don't get underrated when you draw boobs .

Great stuff! I love graffiti styled art, and it looked great in the animation as well. How did you get that sort of faded smudging around the edges and stuff? Like that grungy look on the background of that hipster looking bird.

sucho responds:

if you're working in photoshop (i'm using cs5)- you right click the layer of the object you want that effect on, select "blending options" then in that menu look for "outer glow". just mess around from there! i do tend to use it alot, its a very simple way of reinforcing my outlines, creating new ones, or just adding a soft backing light to differentiate an object from the rest of the picture.

for the bird specifically, i found a rough rectangle-shaped brush, and left ragged black edges, then added an outer glow of a light milky yellow/grey. because there were so many bits of negative space created with that kind of brush, it gives it a bleedy, watercolor type of effect.

Really cool dude!

Thanks

Your digital skills are sharpening up! Starting to come back to your old self like what you did when you were drawing with pencil and watercolors was it? Anyways I love it man, and that Beowulf poem is pretty great, even though I vaguely remember everything lol.

EastWestMan responds:

Thanks!
Yea, digital is really hard, especially with crappy programs. Seems like I'll eventually have to pay up if I wanna get better brushes n' such.
Anyways, happy that it looks like i'm getting used to all this.

Your art is improving man, keep up the hard work and never give up!

TrojanMan87 responds:

thanks
